Meet Tory, The Latest Addition to Revival Ink

Saturday, October 2nd, 2010

Revival Ink is now 3 people strong! A few months ago, Revival Ink hired Tory Franklin as a part-time screen-printer. She has been learning very quickly, becoming an important member of the team! Tory has 9 years silkscreen experience, printing everything from circuit boards to her own artwork. Tory also works part-time at Cornish College of the Arts (the same college I graduated from) as the lab assistant for the drawing classes. She’s an amazing artist in her own right, and I’d love to share some of the things she’s been working on.

Currently, she has a public installation up in Tacoma, Washington at 906 Broadway, bay 2B across from the Pantages Theater. I have been hearing a lot from her about the evolution of this project, and it was great to see it finished.
It’s called The Firebird, and is a digital vinyl print on cut pvc, and cut tyvek.
Check out these amazing photos! To see more of Tory’s work check out her online portfolio.

Today’s favorite Etsy Item

Thursday, May 1st, 2008

I saw this item on Etsy’s showcase today, and I was amazed. It’s the most beautiful necklace I have seen in awhile. This very unique vintage octopus with a 16 inch steel chain will certainly turn some heads. I like the pendant size too, not too big, but not too small to see the detail. If you crave more vintage stamped charms like these, check out
Ragtrader\’d5s Etsy store. You won’t be disappointed.
