My favorite Etsy item today-Mason Bee House

Thursday, September 23rd, 2010

My favorite item on Etsy today is this super cool Mason bee house by andrewsreclaimed on Etsy. Husband and wife team Andrew & Melissa make beautiful things out of woods they source by dismantling and re-milling ages-old piers, fences, barns, and other structures slated for demolition. Mason bees are a gentle native bee that are solitary. Mason bees build little nests in holes in wood. They are super fun to watch and an important addition to any garden.

New Organic Items at Revival Ink

Friday, May 30th, 2008

Twisted Tree Tee, organic, cotton, mens, womens, unisex, crew

The Organic Twisted Tree Tee (pictured above) is my favorite new Revival Ink item. It has been a hit with the ladies, as well as men. The very soft organic cotton blend hangs nicely on the body, and offers a flattering fit for both sexes. 2 other new items that have been very popular are the Organic Flowerfly Hoodie and Mechanical Bird Long Sleeve Tee. I also have very big news: I am quitting my day job as a graphic designer to make Revival Ink my full time job. That means I have several new items coming out over the next 2 months, as well as plans to launch a full kids line by the end of the summer. How exciting! Stay tuned for more new stuff, and sales on existing items. This summer, I am participating in several festivals in the Seattle area, including Bumbershoot. I will also be in Las Vegas for the POOL Trade Show at the end of August. Come visit me!

Today’s favorite Etsy Item

Thursday, May 1st, 2008

I saw this item on Etsy’s showcase today, and I was amazed. It’s the most beautiful necklace I have seen in awhile. This very unique vintage octopus with a 16 inch steel chain will certainly turn some heads. I like the pendant size too, not too big, but not too small to see the detail. If you crave more vintage stamped charms like these, check out
Ragtrader\’d5s Etsy store. You won’t be disappointed.

Slow Shirts Is Having a Sale!

Wednesday, April 16th, 2008

One of my favorite t-shirt printers is Slow Shirts, based right here in Washington. I have met the 2 artists who make the art, and hand print these shirts. They are very cool people, down to earth and friendly. I think they will be vending at the Seattle Fremont Sunday market with me when the weather gets warmer. The ski lift shirt below is one of my favorites. They are having a big sale right now in their Etsy shop, with hoodies marked down to only $25! I recommend getting one before they\’d5re gone.
