Vegas Baby!

I’ve been pretty wiped out after my Las Vegas trip, and then doing Bumbershoot Festival the day after I got home. I’m finally catching up on some things this week though. One of them is updating my blog. So without further adieu: My official Vegas recap!
I went to Las Vegas for the Pool Trade Show, but I also took 3 personal days to take in the scenery. I brought my boyfriend Eric to help me out at the show, and he was excited because it was his first time going to Vegas. I have been to Las Vegas once before, but several years ago. It has grown and changed so much! They now have a monorail that takes you all over the strip. It is the first monorail that doesn’t need a driver, it runs all by itself! I wish Seattle could get with the program and make our monorail work as great at the Vegas one. We stayed at the Sahara Hotel, and the Las Vegas Convention Center was just 2 stops on the monorail away. We did all our traveling on the monorail, and even brought our whole booth setup to Pool that way. Here is a picture of Eric and I in our booth at Pool Trade Show.

Revival Ink at Pool Trade Show
Revival Ink was in the Green section because we’re eco-friendly, and proud of it! I had a great time meeting other earth friendly companies, and exchanging ideas. It was amazing to see all the elaborate booths at Magic, and the talented emerging designers at Pool for the first time. What fun!
When we weren’t at the trade show, we were exploring the fabulous hotels and casinos on the strip. I didn’t gamble very much though, because I’m kinda unlucky. I had more fun taking in the fabulous architecture, amazing shows, and expensive, but tasty food. Here’s a photo of me at the Venetian in my favorite Blossom Tunic. We were happy to find an all you can eat sushi buffet at the Paris Hotel. Eric took this awesome night time photo of me in front of it.

It was about 106 degrees the whole time we were there, and I was loving every minute of it. I am convinced I will move to the desert someday. I like my hometown of Seattle, but sometimes all the rain really gets to me. In Vegas I loved being able to wear dresses outside at 11pm at night, and still not be cold. That’s my kind of climate! We saw Cirque De Soleil’s Mystere show at Treasure Island, and it was incredible. If you’ve never seen a Cirque De Soleil show, then it is definitely something you should do in your lifetime. The experience cannot be explained in words. On that note, I finish my story. Stay tuned for many more of my adventures as I travel around the country doing shows. Who knows? Maybe I’ll be in your city next!
